New York Pizza Palace

Martinkovic Milford was tasked with designing a new concept for New York Pizza Palace with the owner's intention that it embody the energy and excitement of New York City. The centerpiece of the resulting design is a dramatic canopy comprised of an array of Times Square tickers, which attracts new customers from afar and adds lights, motion and energy to the pizzeria's interior. The ticker cascades down the storefront entablature and turns into a ceiling canopy that spans the depth of the store. The vibrant and moving lights are reflected in the black floor tiles and granite tabletop. Every element in the space is drawn from Manhattan details: crisp subway tiles are used in the kitchen area, and the walls are decorated with NY maps and signs.
