Golden Gate OBGYN

Martinkovic Milford Architects created a light, airy space for an OBGYN practice within an 1860‘s-era warehouse on San Francisco’s north waterfront. Heavy existing features - brick walls, steel reinforced beams, and exposed ductwork - are offset with a range of lighter modern materials and delicate natural textures. The glass counter tops float above an intricate burled wood reception desk, and varied upholstery and wall textures are unified by a palette of poppy, gray and pale blue drawn from Northern California’s landscape. The waiting area has distinct seating zones and a children’s corner, and hallways feature large wall niches for patient baby photos. A connected sister office aesthetic procedures has a similar elegant and clean design.
