The Art and The Science:
What we aim for in every project

Architecture must be functional. Practical. Economical.
This is the science, and the science is important.  But when it contains those additional, indefinable elements that bring beauty and meaning – that’s the art, and that’s when architecture truly comes to life.

“It’s about more than walls and surfaces. It’s about creating opportunities for interaction and engagement – about using design to support lifestyles and business models, and finding answers to both the obvious problems and to the questions that haven’t yet been asked.”

Justin specializes in architecture for commercial and medical projects, identifying and leveraging a business’s unique points of difference and contexts to craft tailored, custom designs that challenge assumptions about how spaces should be – and can be – used. He is interested in the interplay of design, identity and human experience, and how architecture can be used to express and facilitate new ways forward.

Justin is a Cum Laude graduate of the Syracuse University School of Architecture, a member of the American Institute of Architects and is NCARB certified.

“Design extends beyond the physical plot of land or individual room. It’s about the larger context – about crafting something that complements a client’s lifestyle while connecting a space, both visually and physically, with the surrounding area. It’s the art of making a place by working on a space.”

Brian is highly experienced in the design of residential and hospitality projects, and seeks to explore and leverage the innate assets of a project context in a way that maximizes its potential to meet a client’s needs and goals. His approach to architecture is deeply human, with solutions stemming from the exploration and rituals of people’s daily lives and routines – and what their home means, and will mean, to them.

Brian is a Cum Laude graduate of the Syracuse University School of Architecture and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
